What is your personal definition of success?

Success is making a contribution to the society with your gift and getting handsomely rewarded financially as a byproduct

Can you share the steps you take daily to improve?

1. Morning and evening learning French for half an hour
2. Listening to podcasts on self-development and business while taking subways or jogging
3. Meditating for 5 minutes a day in the evening

What is your advice for someone making an important decision?

Make a heart decision, that is, to ask yourself over and over again, “Is this what my heart wants?” “If I make this decision, is it aligned with who I am or who I could become?” “Is it aligned with what I value?” “If I don’t make this decision, will I regret someday?” If that’s what your heart wants, if it’s aligned with who you are, who you could become and your value, then make the decision and you’ll figure out the rest.

Tell me about a specific moment that set you on the path you’re on now?

When I was doing leadership and communication training, participants ask me, “How do we develop our voice?” With the background in developing and using my own voice for singing and radio, that gave me a push to do work on voice.

If you could recommend one book for our audience, what would it be?

There are so many books I’d love to recommend. If it’s to choose only one, I’d recommend: How to Win Friends and Influence People

The key principle in the book is to genuinely care about other people if you want to win friends and influence people. This is gold in everything that we do in life.

Which character traits do you value most?

Integrity, which also includes above mentioned making a decision that aligns with who you are and your values.

How do you push through tough times?

Getting frustrated initially, haha, then realize this is the time that’s for me to grow yet in another area, so I ask myself, “What is it that the universe is signaling to me for growth?” And find ways to work on that area, which most of the times it’s another system upgrade needed for the mindset.

What inspires you?

1. Other people’s stories where they were able to overcome struggles and challenges and live a life that’s close to their heart’s desires
2. Clarity of what I’m here to do on this planet, i.e. my mission

How do you manage and prioritize opportunities?

I ask myself the question,
Is it going to help me help more people?
If so, I’ll grab the opportunity.

What advice would you give to your 18-year-old self?

Make friends that’ll widen your perspectives and make you a better person
